OKC Bombing and the YouTube Effect
Some of the best reporting comes from local news stations immediately after a story hits. Why is this? Because local news personnel reporting on the scene, have not received their “marching orders” yet. They aren’t advised as to the government/corporate media cover up story, which takes at minimum a few hours to disseminate. Therefore, the way the “Old Media” played this dynamic in the past, was to dismiss the real truth as inaccuracies due to the chaos of the initial action unfolding. Clips from the earliest moments of the local broadcast could easily be suppressed as they found no way to reach a significant audience.
Fast forward to 2006 and the birth of the video web 2.0 internet phenomena, YouTube. Instantly, the people are unrestricted by the “Old Media” gatekeepers and are allowed to see what really transpired. The old cover up stories crumble, as we witness the reporting from the local media on the scene, uncensored. Just as we see what really happened in Seattle during the WTO protest (govt. agent provocateurs were the real culprits), we witness the multiple reports of the local media in Oklahoma City report the truth that multiple bombs were planted in the building and the Timothy McVeigh story was an oswaldesque charade. So the ATF Building was brought down by explosives via a controlled demolition, sound familiar?
